CORROSION EVALUATION
Once the reinforcement corrosion is initiated in a structure, it is impossible to revert damage. Under such situation, only the following 3 parameters can be evaluated in the structure:
– Areas where corrosion in reinforced concrete is taking place
– Severity of corrosion in the steel
– Corrosion Rate in the reinforcing steel
Neodex can evaluate corrosion in the reinforcing steel with the following methods:
– Concrete resistivity
– Half-cell Potentials
– Polarization resistance by means of Galvanostatic Pulses (GalvaPulse system)
