CONCRETE CORROSION EVALUATION
Once the corrosion process has started in a concrete structure, it is impossible to revert the damage in the steel rebars. When corrosion has started, three properties can be monitored to assess the remaining rebar:
– Corrosion extension in the structure
– Severity of corrosion in the reinforcing steel
– Reinforcement corrosion rate
Neodex evaluates the corrosion in steel by means of testing according to the following methods:

– Half-Cell Potentials
– Polarization Resistance to determine corrosion rate
